The Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH) Home Medical Equipment division of Alliance Health Services launched a Web site on January 12 to provide patients with a convenient method for ordering medical supplies/equipment.
“The site will be one of the first in the area,” said Trip Peeples, MLH administrator. “We are setting a new trend for the community’s medical equipment industry while providing a convenience for our patients.”
After patients leave MLH and return home, they sometimes still need additional medical equipment and care. The Web site will make it convenient for them to order needed items while they are recovering at home.
Methodist has a team of professionals including case managers, respiratory therapists, and certified delivery technicians to help provide patient education and equipment assembly.
The site will contain a full line of medical equipment and a variety of respiratory services available for both pediatric and adult patients. Some of the products include wheelchairs, hospital beds, oxygen therapy products, apnea monitors, enteral nutritional supplements, and many more items.
Maternity products will also be available on the site, allowing new moms to order diapers from the comfort of their home.

Home medical equipment is one of five home health services provided by MLH. Other services include lifeline personal response service, home health care, hospice, and infusion services.
