Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital Relocates Pelvic Rehabilitation and Adds Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Services

Pelvic Rehabilitation Services at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital has moved to a new location at the Jewish Community Center, located at 6560 Poplar Avenue. In addition, the hospital has added Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation to the services now available to patients. Both Pelvic Rehabilitation and Cardiac Rehabilitation will be housed in the new East Memphis location.

"We are excited about the new home we've found at the Jewish Community Center,” said Pam Harris, director of rehabilitation services at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital. “We are confident that the new location, combined with the addition of our Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Services, makes us better equipped to meet the needs of the Germantown community and Memphis residents.”

Cardiac Rehabilitation, a new service to be offered at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital, is a medically supervised program to help patients recover after a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, angioplasty or stent placement, valve surgery, stable angina or heart transplant. The goals of cardiac rehabilitation are to help patients regain strength, to help prevent progression of the condition and to help reduce the risk of future heart problems.

Pelvic Rehabilitation Services, which was previously housed in Medical Office Building A on the hospital’s campus, provides outpatient therapy services to equip patients with the skills necessary to restore pelvic floor function, resulting in improved bowel and bladder control. The program is available to men, women and children ages six and older.
