Paul Douthitt, M.D., has taken the position of chief medical officer (CMO) at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital.
“Dr. Douthitt’s clinical expertise, his passion for our mission, his ability to build strong working relationships with the medical staff and his collaborative leadership style make him a perfect fit for Methodist Germantown,” said William Kenley, CEO/administrator, Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital.
Previously, Dr. Douthitt was CMO at Methodist South. He joined the Methodist South leadership team in 2005 and served as South’s interim CEO from 2006 until 2007. A graduate of the University of Colorado Medical Center, Dr. Douthitt completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital in pediatrics, where he subsequently served as associate clinical professor. Prior to joining Methodist, Dr. Douthitt served on the boards of trust for Physician’s Health Care and NorthCrest Medical Center.
He has an extensive background in clinical instruction, medical education and pediatric practice. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Tennessee Pediatric Society.
