David Cummings, RN, BS, CEN has been named corporate administrator, Patient Care Operations for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.

“We’re excited to have Mr. Cummings join our team,” said George Mayzell, M.D., senior vice president of Patient Care, MLH. “His strong leadership skills, clinical training and experience and understanding of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare’s commitment to providing exceptional care to the communities we serve, make him an excellent addition to our organization.”

Cummings has over 20 years of healthcare experience providing clinical care to a broad-based patient population. Prior to joining MLH, he served as the director of the Emergency Center at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland, a 450-bed, not-for-profit, faith-based and mission-driven teaching hospital that provides inpatient and outpatient primary and specialty healthcare services. He also served in a variety of nursing and operational leadership positions at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Cummings received his bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management from the University of Baltimore in Maryland and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland University College.
