Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH) has been named to Modern Healthcare's "Top 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare" list for 2009 – one of only three Tennessee organizations to make the list.

“This is a testament to the strength of our system, and most importantly, to the loyal, outstanding Associates who serve patients, family members, colleagues and the community every day,” said Gary S. Shorb, president and CEO, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.

This prestigious list recognizes the best places for healthcare workers in the nation, and includes healthcare providers, suppliers and insurers. To make the list, detailed information about MLH was submitted and graded by national judges. Judges looked at employee compensation/benefits programs, recognition and appreciation programs, education and professional/leadership development, family-friendly practices, communications, and many other areas. Results from a confidential survey sent to random MLH Associates were also part of the recognition grading process.
