Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare recognizes outstanding nurses at the Nursing Stars Celebration, held annually during National Nurses’ Week. The event recognizes the exceptional women and men who define the patient- and family-centered care MLH is committed to providing. This year’s celebration was held Friday, May 10.

Nursing Stars are selected from each MLH facility. From the Nursing Stars, one Nurse of the Year is chosen from each facility and they are recognized at the ceremony. Candidates are nominated by their peers based on the following criteria: professionalism, interpersonal relations, community involvement, innovation, patient- and family-centered care and the science of nursing. Congratulations to this year’s Nurse of the Year honorees.

"MLH nurses provide exceptional care for our patients and families every day," said MLH Chief Nursing Executive Nikki Polis, Ph.D., RN. "Recognizing Nursing Stars and Nurses of the Year is a wonderful way to thank and honor our nurses for their commitment to caring, professionalism, innovative spirit and community involvement."
