Brain Tumor Treatment

Treatment can involve surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Early treatment often improves the chance of a good outcome. Treatment, however, depends on the size and type of tumor and the patient’s overall health.

Surgery is necessary for most primary brain tumors. Some tumors may be completely removed. Tumors deep inside the brain or that enter brain tissue may be debulked—a procedure to reduce the tumor's size. Radiation therapy and chemotherapy are also used for certain tumors.

From pre- to post-surgery, all aspects of your treatment plan will be tailored specifically to you, including:

  • Pain Management
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Counseling and support groups
